South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo turns heads in a soft pink satin and lace dress alongside Fendi CEO Serge Brunschwig at the 2023 Met Gala

Her role in Netflix’s revenge drama The Glory has cemented her as South Korea’s biggest leading lady.

So it was no surprise Song Hye-kyo wowed fans on the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City on Monday.

The 41-year-old, who is an ambassador for Fendi, was joined by the designer brand’s CEO Serge Brunschwig.

Fashion’s biggest night delivered a stellar turn out of stars on Monday, May 1st – as the world’s best dressed celebrities attended the 2023 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.

This year’s dress code for the fashion extravaganza was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty – paying tribute to the controversial German fashion designer, known for his work with Chanel, who passed away in 2019.

Kim Kardashian arrived dripping in pearls, looking absolutely heavenly – as she seemingly revisited her Playboy look from 2007 by accident.

Fashion’s biggest night has arrived! The 2023 Met Gala has taken over the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and your favorite music stars are already hitting the red carpet.

The elite event, which raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute each year, is known to be a star-studded affair with one of the city’s most in-demand tickets. So who got the call this year to walk up the iconic carpeted stairs?

Pop star Dua Lipa, this year’s co-chair, paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld — the late fashion designer whose work is the theme of Monday’s gala — by wearing one of his Chanel Haute Couture bridal gowns, which was originally modeled by Lagerfeld’s longtime muse Claudia Schiffer at the brand’s fall/winter 1992 show.

Hip-hop rookie Ice Spice made her ice-cold debut at the Met Gala, trading her trademark red curls for long, straight tresses to complement her sleek white gown.

Singer Rita Ora made her mark with a sheer-accented black gown with an unbelievably long train that made a stunning statement on the coveted stairs.

Not just any cat, though. The “Woman” superstar’s jewel-encrusted look, complete with a cat ear headpiece and prosthetic feline nose, is in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette. The look, curated by stylist Brett Alan Nelson, is perfectly on theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, in honor of the fashion designer who died in February 2019.

Choupette, who Lagerfeld adopted in 2011, hilariously confirmed earlier in the day that she wouldn’t be attending the prestigious event via an Instagram post. “Many people invited me to walk the red carpet of the #METGALA2023 in tribute to Daddy, but we preferred to stay peacefully & cozy at home,” the post reads alongside photos of the lounging kitty. “We pay tribute to my Daddy every day since his parting and we are very moved to see one more day dedicated to him.”

An Australian man arrested in Indonesia after an alleged naked and drunken rampage is being held in a tiny cell as he faces a possible five year jail term.

Noosa man Bodhi Mani Risby-Jones, 23, is currently detained in a 3×3 metre cement cell on the island of Simeulue, off the coast of Sumatra, in the ultra-conservative Aceh province.

Police allege he had been drinking vodka in his hotel room at the Moon Beach Resort when he emerged without any clothes just after midnight on Thursday.

He is then alleged to have hit passing motorbike riders on the street, knocking one man to the ground where his bike fell on him causing a serious leg injury.

Angered locals then chased him to the beach where they held him down and tied his arms while police were called.

The surfer was on a three-week trip to the island, which is known for its pristine white sand beaches, with a mate.

After his arrest, Mr Risby-Jones claimed he was wearing underwear, had only one sip of vodka and said he felt ‘possessed’ because he had gotten sunstroke from surfing.

‘It was not a good feeling. I was not myself. I’m normally a nice guy,’ he said.

His family have since released a statement saying he is now fully aware of what happened.

‘(He) is disturbed by his actions and takes full responsibility for them,’ his family told the ABC.

Aceh operates under a Sharia-based legal system and alcohol consumption is banned.

Mr Risby-Jones is understood to be facing a charge of maltreatment causing injury after causing an injury to one motorcycle rider’s leg when his bike fell on him.

The charge has a two-and-a-half year maximum imprisonment term if the motorcyclist’s injuries are considered minor, or five-years imprisonment if they are considered major.
