How to Draw A Factory. When you look around the room you are in, various objects will probably surround you. There’s an even greater chance that we assembled these objects in some factory, so it’s easy to see why these factories are so important.

You can craft anything from candy to airplanes, and learning to draw a factory is a great way to imagine what your factory could create! If you want to know how to design your own, read on!

How to Draw A Factory

Step 1

To begin this guide to drawing a factory, let’s not start with the factory itself but with the terrain surrounding it. In particular, we will draw bushes at the foot of the factory.

To draw them, we’ll create different shapes with some irregular lines. These shapes will look almost a bit like fluffy connection clouds. After drawing all of these bushes, let’s start drawing the factory itself, so let’s move on when you’re ready!

Step 2

For the next steps of your factory drawing, you will find it much easier if you have a ruler handy. The reason is that we want the walls and roof sections to be as perfectly straight as possible!

Once you have your ruler, let’s draw a large rectangular shape. So connected to this, we draw a shorter square shape. These will form the front walls of the factory, and after you draw them, we will draw the roofs of the factory.

Each has a straight, vertical line down the left side, so the roof is pitched. Carefully draw a fragile rectangular shape on the surface for this slope. Finally, draw some small chimneys under these sections, so it’s time for step 3 of the guide!

Step 3

Factories usually have many chimneys and chimneys that emit smoke from different stages of production. We will add many of these chimneys in this third step of our guide to drawing a factory.

We don’t use the same shape for every chimney to make it more visually attractive. Most are vertical rectangular shapes, each with a small border at the top.

For the others, we will draw thin and curved pipes; for the others, we will draw chimneys made up of several connected sections. The sections get thinner as you go up, so you can inhale clouds of smoke rising from the chimneys at the end.

Step 4

In this part of your factory drawing, we will add some large silo structures to the foreground factory. These are rectangular but have multiple sections that you can draw with thinner edges.

There are also subtle curved shapes descending from them to show the stairway connected to them. Finally, you can draw small rectangular shapes on these silos to finish them off. With that, we can move on to the final details and touches in the next step of the guide!

Step 5

Before we get to the final phase of this how-to guide on drawing a factory, we’ll finish it with some final touches first. These details will be more minor, but they will make a big difference in putting it together!

You can start by adding a few lines to some fireplaces to make them look more textured. Next, we’ll draw some vertical line patterns under the pitched roofs you drew earlier in the tutorial. Finally, you can end up with minor line details on the factory front wall.

Step 6

You are now in the last phase of your working drawing and can complete it with some color!

Our reference image only showed you one way to colorize it. We used slightly more muted colors for the factory, like brown, red, blue, and more.
