Learn about the significance of Gudi Padwa and how Ayurveda can help you celebrate with a healthy twist.
Gudi Padwa is an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar that marks the beginning of the New Year. It is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in Maharashtra and other parts of India.
On this day, people adorn their homes with colourful rangolis and hoist the Gudi, a flag-like object made of cloth, on a bamboo stick.
Gudi Padwa is also a time to indulge in delicious food and sweets.
However, as we celebrate this festival, it’s important to remember the significance of good health.
Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers us a way to celebrate Gudi Padwa with a healthy twist.
Ayurveda teaches us to balance our doshas or energies, which in turn helps us maintain good health.
According to Ayurveda, Gudi Padwa marks the onset of spring and the transition from the cold winter to the warm and vibrant spring season.
This is when the body is naturally inclined towards detoxification and rejuvenation, making it an ideal time to adopt Ayurvedic practices and nourish the body with wholesome foods.
