In 2018, we began the year by posting 5x a week to Instagram Stories and daily to the grid. We have found that posting to the grid 3-4 times per week is the best combination with daily stories.
POSTING TIMES
We posted at 7 pm AEST for the longest time (yes, we are located in Australia!). However, we have experimented with posting at 1 pm and 3 pm over the past six months and found that 3 pm is the best time to post.
Although 3 pm is a great time to post, it is important to experiment to find the best times for you. There are many followers around the globe, so it is essential to consider what timezones work best for your account.
HASHTAGS
We recommend you change your Instagram hashtags at a minimum once per month. However, we found that one particular hashtag group is what gets the most engagement.
How did we find the best-performing hashtags? The Plan app analytics.
This is a rare thing on Instagram. However, it’s a good sign that we get more likes on our posts if we use the same set of hashtags than other hashtags, which will only bring us down to 275 to 350 likes.
CONTENT STRATEGY
