When people think of a freelance graphic designer, I want to convey a professional and personal image while demonstrating my interests and abilities. As a freelance graphic designer, I know how important it is to have a website that gets results. One that leads clients right to you helps build trust and rapport and makes the sales process as simple as possible.

Who is your target client?

Now that you’ve established the goals of your website and how it will be used, it’s time to think about who might visit your site. You can target clients in a variety of ways:

  • Specific industries: For example, if you specialize in graphics for real estate agents or restaurants, your clients will likely come from those industries.
  • Specific businesses: If you provide custom logos for small businesses and freelancers, your potential clientele could include anyone with an online presence—from tutors to professional photographers.
  • Individual needs: If someone is looking for a logo design for their new company or product line, they won’t need multimedia capabilities on their homepage, so why not just focus on catching the attention of this one person instead?

What are your top 3-5 services?

You can list your services in order of importance, but it’s a good idea also to include detailed descriptions of each service, which will give people an idea of what type of work you do and how they can benefit from it.

Below is an example:

  • Logo Design – A logo is the face of your business, so make sure it reflects the mission and values at its core. I’ll help you create a simple yet memorable mark that conveys what you do and makes people want to learn more about who you are.
  • Business Card Design – A business card should be strategically crafted with layout choices that draw attention first and foremost to your contact information—namely phone number and website URL—but also provide enough detail on pricing or other vital information if needed by potential clients/customers!

What problem do you solve for clients?

As a freelance graphic designer, the primary concern of your website is to show potential clients what problem you solve for them. As a graphic designer, you may not be able to do everything from scratch—but what issues do your clients have? How do you help them solve these problems? What is the value of your services? How do they improve their business as a result of working with you? It would help if you answered these questions and more on your website.

Here are some examples:

  • A client needed an updated logo but needed to learn how to create one themselves. I helped him create one that was modern, professional, and reflective of his brand identity in just 2 hours!
  • Another client had so many ideas but needed help getting anything done because he couldn’t focus on one task at a time without constantly switching between projects (which resulted in nothing being completed).

The portfolio is an essential part of your website. It’s where potential clients can see what you have done and how great it looks, so make sure yours is up to scratch!

Services page

You should also include a services page on your website. This page is where you list the services you offer, along with descriptions and examples of what they look like. You could also include other details, such as price lists or contact information, to inquire about hiring you for these jobs.

About page

Your About page tells the world who you are and why they should hire you. It’s also a great place to explain the value proposition of your graphic design business, how long you’ve been in business, why clients love working with you, what makes them unique, and more.

The most important thing when writing your About page is ensuring it reflects who you are as an individual and what separates your graphic design business from everything else.
